Proper Blessing of the Day


May God whose only-begotten Son was pleased to appear on this day to His Disciples while the doors were closed, be pleased to fill you by the gift of his blessing, and be pleased to open the doors of the heavenly kingdom to you. Amen.

And may He Who cut away wounds of doubt from their breasts by taking on the wounds of His Body, grant that by Faith you may believe that He

is Risen and that you may be without the stains of all deficiencies. Amen

And may you, who believe He is God and Lord, along with Thomas whose exclamations and bowing down were drawn forth from him, be strong enough to be watchful against all evils in this age, and be strong enough to stand present in

the congregation of the Saints in the future. Amen.

May He Whose Kingdom and Dominion remain without end, be pleased to sustain us unto ages of ages. Amen.

May the blessing of God: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and the peace of the Lord be ever with you. Amen.

 May the Lord make to arise within you the power of His love, and through the observation of fastings pour forth in you the gift of His blessing. Amen. Thus you offer holocausts of your frugality to Him, so that you are pleasing by your contriteness of heart, and sacrifice of humility. Amen. Thus may your prayer of the fast and alms-giving and other things which are elevated arise unto the ears of your Creator, so that you may be made inheritors of eternal blessing, and be made to consort with the supernal community. Amen.May He Whose Kingdom and Dominion remain without end, be pleased to sustain us unto ages of ages. Amen. 4th Sunday of Lent

Mid Lent

 

May God who is pleased to lead you through the meditation of these present forty days; may He be pleased to bless you with His mercy. Amen. May He accept your past abstinence. And may He reward [you] at His pleasure in the future, as [you abstain] from illicit food, so may He grant that you abstain from all that is sinful. Amen.

Moreover, by those past and future fruits of spiritual charisms through Him, you will be paid for freely, owing nothing to Him, absolved, and will be able to cross to holy Pascha. Amen.

May He Whose Kingdom and Dominion remain without end, be pleased to sustain us unto ages of ages. Amen.
